On Wednesday, November 11th, 2015, Rachel attended the Remembrance Day Ceremony at Walkerville Memorial Garden. This year it makes the 97th anniversary of the end of World War I. Each year on this day Australians observe one minute of silence at 11 am, in honour of those who died or suffered in all wars and armed conflicts.
During the commemoration service, Rachel laid a wreath in remembrance of those who were lost in war. After the ceremony she joined some of Australia’s veterans, along with their families and other attendees, for morning tea and a delicious BBQ lunch at the Walkerville RSL.
